Mya Audrey

Myriam Audrey Dinah Nydegger is born in Winterthur Switzerland and based in Berlin, Germany. Growing up with a jazz enthusiastic father she fell in love with artist like Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Erroll Garner at a very early age.

After high school, she studied voice andjazz piano at the “Hochschule der Künste” in Berne and attended various jazzworkshops & competitions such as the annual IASJ Jazz Meeting at BerkleeCollege of Music, the Internationale Meisterkurse Vaduz and the Shure MontreuxVoice Competition with Universal Music & Bea Young Artists Foundation.During her studies she devoted herself entirely to the world of jazz. With herown project she toured throughout Europe and played at the Olympic Games inBeijing and at Midi-Festival in Shanghai & Beijing. After releasing two albums, Mya Audrey started to focusmore onto production work and performing as a pianist, keyboarder & backingsinger. She played and toured with artists such as Glen Hansard, Rea Garvey,Marianne Rosenberg, Wilhelmine, Lotte, Alexander Knappe and many more. Shejoined Glen Hansard on his US support tour for Pearl Jam on their ´Dark MatterWold Tour`. Mya had the great opportunity to perform at placeslike Madison Square Garden & The Beacon Theatre in New York and WrigleyField Stadion in Chicago. Besides her career as a live performer, she isconstantly working as a producer, songwriter & studio musician. Sheproduced for artists such as Kool Savas (rework ´Mona Lisa´ Level Space edition),Mieze Katz, the lead singer of Mia. (co-production with Novaa for her upcomingsolo album), Wilhelmine, Marianne Neumann, LNA and many more. She co-wrote thetheme song for the Swiss movie ‘Platzspitzbaby’ and composed for the GermanZDF/ARD productions ‘Blochin’ and ‘Rote Rosen’. On her upcoming piano album, she combines the world ofJazz, Neo-classic and Electronics in her very own way. Warm analoguesynthesizers merge with playful little piano melodies & electronic beats.
