Klinger
Christoph Klinger (*1983) who goes by the artist name Klinger, comes from Rosenheim, a small town in the south of Germany. His musical journey began with a unique companion: a 120-year old Steingräber piano, on which he improvised for hours and hours. After graduating in philosophy, Klinger relocated to Hamburg to turn his passion into a profession.
Since then he has been working asa multifaceted artist; wielding his talents as a pianist, composer, arranger, and producer on various projects. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Fynn Kliemann, Alin Coen, Phil Siemers, Bünger, Rabea, Kaii and Vivie Ann. Several years ago, his Steingräber piano found its way to Hamburg, undergoing a restoration. With its return, he focused on piano again, culminating in captivating micro compositions showcased on his Instagram channel, each lasting no longer than 60 seconds. In the spring of 2020, Klinger released his debut EP „Creatures“ on his own label. Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, he did a project composing musical potraits of people deeply affected by social hardships. This manifested in his second EP „Persona: Perseverance“. In spring 2023 his debut album „Mosaik“ followed. Now, as Klinger prepares to share his latest single, „Yearbook: July“, scheduled for release on July 5th through Blue Marble.
