Jehno

The Jehno project by musician Marcel Jahn (*1994) is characterized by a unique blend of different styles. It is particularly characterized by influences from neo-classical and experimental music, as embodied by artists such as Nils Frahm. Similar to Frahm,he works with old synthesizers and copies some set-up techniques in order to further develop his own music.

A key feature of his musicis the use of an old drum computer, which he complements with "fresh"beat elements. His tracks sound melancholic and soft, as he always uses the piano muted. A particular highlight is his old Fender Rhodes piano from 1978,which together with a Roland Space Echo (tape delay device) creates impressive tuning effects.
