Andy Whyte

Born in the small town of Retford, Andy Whyte becameinfatuated with music at an early age, playing various instruments in jazz andfunk bands whilst in early education. After school, he moved to London where hestudied classical composition at University and it was here where he discoveredhis love for music production and composition which utilises computer-basedprocessing. His early experimentations of producing electronic music varied instyle, but he soon found his signature sound, combining self-recordings withsynthesised sounds in a thoughtful and impactful manner.

Whyte’s upcoming release, From Above, is a fusion of thepersonal and the limitless. The EP features intimate moments, hypnotic texturesand epic passages, all backed by compelling grooves. This all-encompassingdance music emphasises introspection, with a club-oriented focus. The drivingrhythms are intertwined with organic sounds and moments of reflection,combining to produce tracks which attempt to tug at your heartstrings whilstmaking you want to move.
